Role Description:
The Carpenter role is a full-time, on-site position located in Erie County, PA. This role involves performing a wide range of carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and installing building materials for framing, structural work, and interior finishes. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and maintaining tools and equipment, constructing and installing walls, doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry, and ensuring projects meet quality and safety standards. The Carpenter will collaborate with other crew members, maintain a clean and organized job site, and follow company and regulatory safety protocols. Occasional interaction with clients and supervisors to clarify project requirements and timelines is also part of the role.
Qualifications:
Strong carpentry skills, including experience with framing and finish carpentry. Proficiency in safely using power tools and hand tools on active job sites. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measure and cut materials accurately. Knowledge of construction safety practices and willingness to follow all safety guidelines. Reliable transportation to job sites within Erie County, PA.Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and working in various weather conditions. Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with a small construction team. Previous residential or commercial carpentry experience preferred; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry is a plus.
