Job Description
Summary: Fabricate skids for shipping of conveyors and all finished goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate wooden skids according to specifications for conveyors that are shipping.
- Attach conveyor to skid assuring the safe shipping and movement of conveyor.
- Read bill of materials, work orders, and calculate specifications.
- Use power tools including nail guns, impact wrenches, and common hand tools.
- Operate stand up lift and forklift.
- Update and maintain skid building log.
- Maintains inventory of wooden shipping materials.
- Keep the area clean and organized.
- Work in a team environment and follow safety rules.
- Complete paperwork correctly and report labor accurately
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel and Work Environment:
- SafetyObserves safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Education and/or Experience
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to complete forklift certification.
