Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Review annual personal property tax returns and reconciliations* Review personal property fixed asset listings for misclassified assets* Review state and local laws, rules, and regulations* Conduct physical inspections of manufacturing, communication, energy, mining, and oil & gas facilities and meet with production managers at client locations* Meet with client financial and accounting personnel to review policies and procedures* Prepare analysis detailing issues and opportunities for property tax savings* Produce and edit reports of findings along with the tax manager to ensure accuracy* Meet with clients to discuss implementation of report of finding and address liabilities* Assist client tax department personnel with personal property filings and changes in methodology* Assist client in filing appeals, amended annual returns and refund requests* Assist in negotiations for assessment reductions before assessing authorities* Represent and manage clients during formal appealsNon-Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, coursework in Appraisal desired* 3-5 years’ experience as an Associate Tax Consultant (or similar type of position)* Advanced knowledge of Excel* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Valid driver’s license#LI-JS1#LI-REMOTEThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its applicants and employees.
