About the role
First Response Rail Service, Inc. Base location: Boyertown, Pennsylvania | Occasional travel required The General Laborer supports material handling, metal fabrication, assembly, painting, and general maintenance activities. Based out of Boyertown, PA, this employee works under the direction of a supervisor and travels to other company or customer job sites as needed. The role requires dependable attendance, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices. Safely load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. Assist with fabrication, repair, and assembly of containers and metal components under the direction of experienced personnel. Support cutting, grinding, and other metalworking tasks; use hand and power tools only as trained and authorized. Take basic measurements and inspect work for accuracy and quality. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or priming; assist with painting and applying protective coatings using appropriate methods. Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized; assist with general site cleanup and maintenance. Follow company and site safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment, and promptly report hazards, injuries, or equipment concerns.
