Fully remote, work from home from anywhere in the USAKintec Global Recruitment is partnered with an established national industrial contractor with 50+ years of experience is hiring a Senior Mechanical Estimator. Our client delivers turnkey mechanical, electrical, structural, and utility work for manufacturing and process facilities — from plant retrofits and outages to multi-million-dollar projects. Markets include food and beverage, data centers, pharmaceutical, power, refining, and industrial manufacturing. Core self-perform scopes include process piping, equipment setting and alignment, rigging, conveyors, and fabrication.
The role: Lead preconstruction for industrial mechanical packages on hard-bid, negotiated, and design-build work. Define scope from drawings, specs, and P&IDs. Build conceptual through detailed estimates for labor, material, equipment, rigging, fabrication, welding, and subcontract work. Price equipment installation and alignment, process piping, conveyors, heavy rigging, and shutdown work. Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotes; assess productivity, risk, and value engineering. Prepare bid summaries, clarifications, and exclusions, and hand work off to project teams. Mentor junior estimators.
Requirements: 8+ years estimating industrial or process mechanical work, with ownership of complex bids. Strong knowledge of millwright, piping, rigging, and fabrication methods. Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs. Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software, Bluebeam (or equivalent), and Excel. Field trade experience is a plus.
