About the role
Paint Prep Technician Abra Auto Body & Glass is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician for our fast-paced, state-of-the-art facility. The Paint Prep Technician ensures that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Paint Prepper is tasked with quality preparation for all assigned vehicles prior to the paint, reassembly, and final finish stages. Reviews estimates and understands scope of repair Inspects body repairs to ensure standards are met Tapes surface areas and parts with precision to minimize tapelines and overspray Applies masking paper as necessary Parts removal and reassembly as required Performs final surface cleaning and preparation for proper adhesion May block and sand repair areas as needed Prime, edge, jam replacement parts as requested Learns to mix paint as needed Must have basic knowledge of painting system and paint process. Must be 18 years of age, clean driving record and background check. Benefits Available to Full Time Employees
