SENIORITY
Manager
About the role
- Own bookings, pipeline, and forecast for the OCT business, and run them with real rigor.
- Hire, build, and coach a high-performing sales and BD team.
- Bring a disciplined sales methodology, such as MEDDPICC, to complex, long-cycle government and commercial deals.
- Lead executive relationships across DoD, SDA, AFRL, NASA, the IC, and tier-one primes.
- Shape opportunities before formal procurement, and work with capture and proposal teams through to award.
- Work closely with engineering and product to align customer demand, pricing, and roadmap.
- What you’ll bring
- Senior sales leadership experience in space, defense, or advanced technology, including building and leading sales teams.
- A track record as a true seller. You have closed deals and run a pipeline and forecast, not only supported capture or RFP responses.
- US military service and/or government acquisition experience. An Air Force or Space Force background is particularly valued.
- Experience in enterprise or commercial technology sales, such as software, that sharpened your sales discipline.
- Experience selling optical communications terminals, laser comms, or other space communications hardware, which is a significant plus.
- US citizenship, with an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- What’s on offer
- A senior leadership role with ownership of a proven product in one of the most in-demand areas of space infrastructure.
- Competitive on-target earnings on a 60/40 base-to-variable plan, plus equity.
- The chance to shape how the sales function is built, not just inherit one.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
