About the role
Tutor At Sandhills Community College, we are committed to the health and well-being of our employees, their families, and children across North Carolina. The tutor's goal is to empower, enable, encourage, and assist students in a specific subject, investigate and determine areas of weakness, and develop/share supportive strategies with the student. The tutor will maintain clear and concise records of each meeting and complete and submit an accurate and detailed report each month.
Essential Functions:
Assisting students in understanding concepts. Addressing areas of concern. Focusing students on the task at hand. Maintaining records of each meeting, and completing accurate monthly reports. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate and/or necessary by the Tutoring Center Coordinator.
Qualifications:
Good communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others. Successful completion of course or similar coursework.
