Project Manager – Low Voltage Construction With Per DiemWe are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Project Manager to take full ownership of projects from business development and estimating through execution, closeout, and customer follow-up. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in electrical construction, project management, customer relationships, and financial performance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing profitable projects while effectively leading teams, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical construction projects from initial marketing and estimating through project closeout and customer follow-upLead project planning, execution, job cost tracking, forecasting, and closeout
- Prepare and provide monthly project status updates and percentage-of-completion reports
- Perform detailed takeoffs and estimates for electrical service, tenant improvement, light commercial, and light industrial projects
- Develop and market profitable project opportunities and build strong customer relationships
- Maintain accountability for project cost, schedule, quality, and overall performance
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and promote other company services through integrated solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal operations teams
- Coordinate, schedule, and direct field personnel and project resources
- Review and manage contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and project documentation
- Support and promote an injury-free work environment and strong safety culture
- Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience, preferably within the regional market
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, customer relationships, and business development/marketingDDC / Building Automation Controls experience required
- Design/build experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, construction methods, and industry best practices
- Ability to read, understand, negotiate, and manage contracts
- Experience developing detailed scopes of work and project proposals
- Proficiency with estimating software; McCormick experience preferred and ConEst is a plus
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimating/project management software
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Strong financial and organizational skills with an understanding of project profitability and job costing
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment
What We're Looking For:
We’re looking for a hands-on, accountable Project Manager who understands both the technical and business sides of electrical construction. The ideal candidate is comfortable developing relationships, winning work, leading teams, managing project financials, and delivering projects safely, on time, and profitably. Travel 100% — This role requires full-time travel to job sites across the U.S. Lodging, travel accommodations, per diem, and project-specific support will be provided.
