About the role

This full-time position is an opportunity for HIGHLY skilled welders to produce finished weldments for heavy equipment. Finish weld primarily mild steel using MIG process; read and weld to provided prints, understand bills of material and welding symbols, operate hand grinders, drills, overhead cranes, and miscellaneous measurement and hand tools. We are actively hiring skilled welders (MIG) with the ability to finish weld on our weekend or night shift. Weekend shift works 5:00 am-5:30 pm, Friday – Sunday, and night shift works Mon-Thurs 4:00 pm-2:00 am, both shifts receive a $2.50 / hour shift differential. Overtime is occasionally available.
Requirements: MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST, Also pass a respirator fit test which means a very tightly trimmed beard or no beard at all! All tools, equipment and supplies are provided, with the exception of Steel Toe Shoes. Applications are accepted in person at 1201 E 28th St, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Must bring 2 of the following to interview: Valid ID/ Driver's license (either way it needs to be govt. issued) SS card Birth Cert (original or certified copy) Military ID Valid Passport Benefits Employees are eligible for a full benefit package: 10 paid holidays + 1 week vacation after 6 months, 2 weeks after 18 months, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10. Medical, dental and vision insurance is offered at very reasonable rates. Family coverage is approximately $100 per week. Company paid life insurance for employee, optional coverage is available for family at additional discounted cost. Uniforms provided. Pay is weekly. Regularly scheduled performance reviews.
