With a nationwide footprint and opportunities for growth across multiple locations and disciplines, SPL is a place where you can build a career while making a real-world impact.We're seeking a results-driven Account Executive in Denver, CO to drive revenue growth for analytical environmental laboratory services, including water, soil, air, and wastewater testing, environmental compliance, and laboratory analysis services.In this role, you'll promote analytical testing solutions, including water, wastewater, soil, air, and waste analysis, while helping clients meet environmental compliance and regulatory requirements. You'll partner with environmental consultants, industrial facilities, municipalities, government agencies, and other commercial clients to understand their testing needs and deliver solutions that support their operational and compliance objectives.The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience in environmental services, laboratory testing, or technical B2B sales who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is motivated by building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving business growth.What You'll DoManage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closeDevelop new business and grow existing accounts for environmental laboratory testing servicesBuild relationships with environmental consultants, engineering firms, municipalities, industrial facilities, government agencies, and commercial clientsIdentify client needs and recommend analytical testing solutions for water, wastewater, soil, air, waste, and other environmental samplesPrepare proposals, pricing, and service agreements in collaboration with laboratory and operations teamsCoordinate with laboratory, project management, and client services teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfactionGenerate new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, and follow-up on company-generated leadsMaintain accurate customer, pipeline, and sales activity records in Salesforce or other CRM systemsExpand existing client relationships by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunitiesMeet or exceed established sales, revenue, and business development goalsStay current on environmental regulations, industry trends, and market developments to identify new business opportunitiesPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field preferred2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within environmental laboratory services, environmental consulting, laboratory testing, or other technical B2B industriesDemonstrated success managing the full sales cycle, generating new business, closing opportunities, and achieving or exceeding sales goals in a quota-driven environmentStrong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical services and solutionsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and LinkedInKnowledge of environmental laboratory testing, including water, wastewater, soil, air, or waste analysis, environmental regulations, or compliance services strongly preferredWhat We OfferCompetitive base compensation + performance-based incentivesMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid life, AD&D, and disability insuranceGenerous paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition reimbursement and professional developmentSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time, hybrid positionFrequent in-territory travel within assigned territory (approximately 30-50%), with occasional overnight travel for client meetings, training, conferences, and other business-related needsAbility to work outside of scheduled hours as needed to meet operational or client needsOur Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
