About the role
Partnership Taxation Senior ManagerLocation: Phoenix, AZ 85016 Work Model: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in office effective March 2026) Position Type: Full-Time The Partnership Taxation Senior Manager will lead complex partnership tax compliance and consulting engagements, including primary and secondary review of tax returns and providing strategic tax advice. This role requires strong leadership, client relationship management, and business development capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and driving growth within the partnership tax practice.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multiple partnership tax engagements from planning through completionReview complex partnership tax returns and provide consulting expertiseEvaluate partnership agreements and manage IRC 704(b) capital accountsProvide strategic tax planning and identify tax-saving opportunitiesOversee and mentor staff, including performance evaluations and developmentDrive business development efforts, including client acquisition and proposal developmentMaintain and expand client relationships across existing and new clientsResearch and consult on Subchapter K (partnership taxation) mattersRespond to IRS and tax authority inquiriesManage engagement budgets and ensure timely deliveryUtilize tax software for compliance and research activitiesMust-Have RequirementsActive CPA license (required)10+ years of progressive tax compliance and consulting experienceStrong experience in partnership taxationBackground in public accountingProven leadership and team management experienceWillingness to work hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)Bachelor's degree in AccountingRequired SkillsExpertise in partnership tax compliance and consultingStrong knowledge of Subchapter K and partnership structuresExperience with joint ventures and non-corporate entitiesStrong leadership, mentoring, and team development skillsBusiness development and client relationship managementExcellent analytical, technical, and tax technology skillsStrong communication and presentation skillsPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with partnership structuring, entity formation, and M&A transactionsExposure to diverse industries and complex client structuresCore CompetenciesLeadership and team developmentStrategic thinking and business growthClient relationship managementAnalytical problem-solvingAbility to manage multiple engagements and deadlinesEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required)
