About the role

We’re looking for a senior audit leader responsible for overseeing the audit function, audit managers, and broader team. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on audit quality, people development, and building the capacity and processes needed to support continued growth. The title is flexible. The firm is a specialized CPA practice serving HOAs, condominium associations, co-ops, and other community associations nationwide. The practice handles a high volume of smaller, recurring engagements, requiring strong technical judgment and the ability to manage an efficient, disciplined operation.
Key Responsibilities: Lead audit engagements from planning through review and issuance, with the ability to assume final sign-off responsibility. Oversee technical accounting and auditing matters, quality standards, and senior-level client issues. Manage and develop audit managers and the broader team, including coaching, staffing, workload allocation, and accountability. Improve workflows, consistency, capacity, and timely engagement completion as the practice grows.
Candidate Profile: An active CPA with substantial public accounting audit experience, demonstrated ownership of complete engagements, and strong people leadership. A strong Senior Manager, Director, or junior Partner could be a fit. Direct HOA/CIRA experience is ideal, but candidates from adjacent audit specialties involving comparable volumes of smaller engagements will also be considered. Candidates must be prepared to assume final sign-off responsibility but do not need to have served as the final signer in their current firm. Someone who has led engagements through partner review and is ready for the next step could be an excellent fit. There is no requirement to bring an existing book of business or focus on business development. Compensation and Location Preferred locations: Texas or Florida. Strong candidates in other locations outside the West Coast will also be considered.
The Opportunity: Lead and build an entire audit practice, join the senior leadership team, and participate in the growth of a private-equity-backed business investing in people, technology, and geographic expansion.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
