About the role
WIRESTOCK is looking for a Prepress Technician to prepare, review, and optimize digital files for professional print production. This short-term freelance project seeks a detail-oriented professional who can turn prepress expertise into clear, practical production resources. You will provide fictional professional materials such as print-ready files, preflight checklists, production specifications, file-preparation guides, proofing materials, templates, technical documentation, presentations, and videos to support the development and evaluation of practical AI applications. You may work with creative professionals who produce specialized materials based on your direction. You will review and evaluate the results with the Project Manager. If you are a freelancer interested in a short-term project, please fill out our form: https://tally.so/r/PdBzXPThe ideal candidate has experience in: Preflight and file preparation, including identifying and correcting fonts, bleeds, resolution, color, links, and other technical issues before print. Using Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools specifically for preflight, file preparation, and print output. Color management, including CMYK, RGB, spot colors, ICC profiles, and proofing. Preparing print-ready files and PDFs and reviewing proofs for accuracy and quality. Creating preflight checklists, specifications, guides, templates, and workflows. Preparing files across commercial print, digital print, publishing, or packaging environments. Explaining technical issues clearly to designers and clients and providing practical instructions for fixing them. The ideal candidate is someone who: Has Native or C1/C2 English and can understand and express ideas clearly. Understands project goals and the “why” behind a task, not just the task itself. Has creative and visual content experience, such as creating or directing presentations, posters, videos, or social graphics. Has proven experience working remotely and independently, managing their own time without close supervision. Has strong communication and problem-solving skills and can clearly state requirements and judge whether a result meets the goal. Gives and receives feedback well and uses it to improve the output. Has hands-on experience in prepress or print production and strong attention to detail. Details about the project:
