About the role
Medical Transcriptionist Services will be provided according to Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service coverage requirements and established laboratory work schedules. The Medical Transcriptionist will provide transcription support within a Pathology/Laboratory setting using oral dictation and voice-recognition software. Appropriate experience working in a Pathology/Laboratory environment or equivalent medical transcription experience. Experience transcribing medical information from oral dictation. Ability to use voice-recognition software for medical transcription. Ability to accurately prepare and maintain medical transcription documentation. Transcribe pathology and laboratory documentation from oral dictation. Review and process documentation generated through voice-recognition software. Prepare accurate transcription records for assigned laboratory services. Maintain and organize transcription documentation according to laboratory procedures.
