We seek students to participate in our 2- or 3-term rotation Packaging Co-op program that will give you real-life opportunities to work on a variety of projects, like Sweetwater Brewery. Our Packaging team leads all aspects of the development process, from design to manufacturing to project management. Co-ops are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and exciting assignments with brand name clients. Packaging team co-ops will have a chance to interact with our clients at their manufacturing facilities. The projects vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

Bid packages
Bid evaluations
Drawing packages
SpecificationsPrepare and maintain databases
Assist in project schedule tracking, project accounting, and project status reporting
Design packaging lines in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit
Develop flow sheets, package and speed matrices
Work on complex, automated packaging machinery

Education/Experience: Engineering Co-Op or Non-engineering College Graduate, preferable in Mechanical Engineering Experience in an engineering support position preferred Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Packaging or similar engineering
Excellent computer skills, including 2D and 3D CADAbility to work independently
Ability to adjust to changing timelines while meeting deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Excellent interpersonal team skills
Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
Ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
Good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information
Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
