About the role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy (or) Recreation from an accredited college or university. Master’s Degree preferred.1 year of experienceperforming recreational therapy work in the treatment of patients required.
- Previous experience working with psychiatric patients preferred.
- Experienced in safely managing patients exhibiting aggressive or challenging behaviors.
- Experience/Training in Experiential Therapy preferred.
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist preferred.
- BLS or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children’s Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
