About the role

Community Life Minister Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with LifePoint Church in Ozark, Missouri as they search for a Community Life Minister. LifePoint Church is a growing, gospel-centered church committed to leading people to be real Christ-followers in life together—filled with the Spirit, living by the Word, rooted in the church, and going to the world for Christ. The Community Life Minister will lead LifePoint's adult discipleship, assimilation, and community engagement ministries. This role will help adults move from first visit to meaningful community, active participation, spiritual maturity, and mission engagement. The ideal candidate will be: A mature, relational shepherd with significant discipleship ministry experience. A strong connector who naturally engages guests, members, and volunteers. A capable trainer who can equip leaders without over-programming ministry. A collaborative implementer who can strengthen systems during a season of growth. The Community Life Minister will oversee Community Groups, Men's and Women's Ministries, adult classes, Explore LifePoint, Navigation, assimilation pathways, and community engagement. In the first 12–18 months, success will include clarifying discipleship pathways, strengthening group life, developing volunteer leaders, improving follow-up for guests and new members, and helping adults take their next step with Christ. LifePoint is seeking a leader who values Scripture, prayer, genuine relationships, and simple, reproducible discipleship—not a heavily programmed ministry model.
Responsibilities include: Leading adult discipleship and community ministries in alignment with LifePoint's mission and vision. Overseeing Community Groups, Men's and Women's Ministries, classes, Explore LifePoint, and Navigation. Creating clear next steps for guests, new believers, new members, and adults seeking deeper connection. Recruiting, training, encouraging, and multiplying volunteer leaders. Collaborating with Elders, staff, and ministry leaders to maintain churchwide alignment. Preaching, teaching, and providing pastoral care as needed. Developing ministry budgets, plans, communication, and operational systems with wisdom and stewardship.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
