About the role

My client is a rapidly growing advanced technology company working on innovative solutions within the nuclear and energy space. As the organization continues to scale, they are seeking a Lead Planner & Scheduler to own the master project schedule and translate complex engineering activities into actionable timelines, work packages, and execution plans. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner/scheduler with strong Primavera P6 experience to work closely with technical engineering teams and leadership on a major first-of-a-kind nuclear project.
What You’ll Do: Develop and maintain the master project schedule from engineering through construction. Work closely with engineering teams to understand scope, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and execution requirements. Translate engineering plans and Product Breakdown Structures (PBS) into detailed WBS frameworks, work packages, and project timelines. Build and manage complex schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, including critical path networks, dependencies, logic ties, and resource planning. Track engineering deliverables to support procurement, SOW development, bid packages, and construction planning. Support scheduling for procurement, modular assembly, installation, and Balance of Plant (BOP) activities. Coordinate with engineering, project management, procurement, operations, and contractors to align execution plans. Monitor milestones, schedule performance, risks, delays, and changes, providing clear reporting to senior leadership. Support the eventual handoff and schedule integration with major EPC partners and Owner’s Representatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred.4+ years of complex project scheduling experience. Nuclear experience is highly desirable but not required; aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other regulated industry experience will also be considered. Minimum 3 years of hands-on Oracle Primavera P6 experience. Strong understanding of WBS, work package development, sequencing, logic ties, dependencies, resource planning, and schedule management. Experience building and maintaining detailed project schedules, Gantt charts, and progress reporting tools. Ability to work closely with highly technical engineering teams and translate project requirements into actionable schedules. Experience in complex engineering, construction, manufacturing, or product development environments. Microsoft Project Planner experience preferred. Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Dataverse is a plus. Familiarity with regulated environments and standards such as ASME NQA-1, NRC, or DOE requirements is a plus.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
