Pay rate: $17.70/hr – $22.00/hr Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM PST (40.0 hours/week)
Overview: The Packaging Technician I performs the manual assembly, labeling, and packaging of blood screening kits according to manufacturing instructions and standard procedures at the San Diego, CA facility. Operating in a regulated cGMP environment, this entry-level position handles temperature-sensitive semi-finished goods, conducts ERP transactions, performs daily cycle counts, and enters cold/frozen storage areas to manage material movement. The Packaging Technician maintains accurate Device History Records (DHRs), sets up packaging stations, and tracks labor hours across work orders. Job Specifications Perform manual assembly, visual inspection, and packaging of blood bank screening kits following manufacturing batch records Handle temperature-sensitive materials, maneuver pallets, and enter cold/frozen storage environments safely Execute basic Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transactions, perform daily inventory cycle counts, and verify work order materials Set up packaging stations, clean work areas, and adhere to strict site housekeeping and cGMP standards Document all manufacturing steps in logbooks, DHRs, and process orders with precise attention to detail High School Diploma or GED required0–2 years of experience in packaging, assembly, or manufacturing environments (entry-level / zero experience accepted with basic ERP/GMP exposure) Basic computer proficiency, email navigation, and foundational math skills required Strong manual dexterity and physical ability to stand, walk, bend, maneuver pallets, and lift materials repeatedly Submittal & Compliance Requirements Cold Storage & Physical Environment: Must be comfortable entering cold and frozen storage environments repeatedly during shifts.
Work Schedule: 100% Onsite in San Diego, CA (Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM).Clean candidate resume submittal without supplier logos, header branding, citation links, or source links.
