About the role
Seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty - Writing Workshop Embodied Poetics, the instructor will develop and teach an online undergraduate course focused on the intersection of writing and somatic inquiry, guiding students in creative projects and discussions while fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive syllabus and facilitate all online course activities and discussions
Guide students through somatic writing experiments and original creative projects in various literary forms
Provide timely feedback on student work and assess submissions according to university policies
Required qualifications
Terminal degree (MFA, PhD, or equivalent) in Creative Writing, Literature, or a related field
Demonstrated record of creative and scholarly work in creative writing or related disciplines
College-level teaching experience, particularly in online learning environments
Knowledge of contemporary creative writing pedagogy and workshop practices
Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community through related professional development
