Role Description: The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Huntersville, NC, responsible for overseeing daily studio operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for members and staff. This role manages scheduling, class capacity, and studio upkeep, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. The General Manager supervises and supports instructors and front desk staff, provides regular coaching and feedback, and ensures adherence to company policies and brand standards. Responsibilities include membership sales, community outreach, local marketing initiatives, and cultivating strong relationships with clients to drive retention and growth. The role also involves monitoring performance metrics, managing budgets, handling basic administrative tasks, and collaborating with leadership to implement process improvements and new initiatives.
Qualifications: Leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and conflict resolution. Customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive studio environment. Operational and organizational skills, such as scheduling, basic budgeting, inventory oversight, and attention to detail in day-to-day management. Sales and local marketing skills, including membership sales, community outreach, and comfort promoting services in person. Communication and interpersonal skills, with clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Interest in fitness, Pilates, or wellness, with a commitment to the values of accessible movement, intentional living, and well-being. Ability to work on-site in Huntersville, NC, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed. Previous experience in studio, retail, hospitality, or fitness management is strongly preferred; experience opening or scaling locations is a plus. Proficiency with basic office software and point-of-sale or membership management systems. High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field is beneficial.
