About the Role: The firm is building its Dallas presence from the ground up and is looking for a Director of Operations who will serve as the face of the firm in the market. This is not a desk job. You will be client-facing, project-driving, and team-building in a high growth environment. The right person is technically sharp, commercially minded, and thrives on client interaction and field accountability.
What You Will Do: Lead day-to-day survey and mapping operations for the Dallas office Build and manage a high-performing team of surveyors, crew chiefs, and field personnel Own client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts Drive business development by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities, particularly in the energy sector Oversee project planning, execution, budgeting, and delivery across multiple concurrent engagements Establish and enforce quality standards, field procedures, and operational workflows Represent the firm at client meetings, presentations, and industry events Collaborate with leadership on staffing plans, resource allocation, and office growth strategy What You BringActive Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in Texas. Required Significant experience managing survey operations, field crews, and client accounts Strong land development, energy, or infrastructure project background Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at a senior level Hands-on leader who is comfortable in the field and in the boardroom Current on technology: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant survey platforms BS in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred Valid driver's license required Who Fits HereThis firm is built on integrity, client service, and getting it done.
