About the role
- 5+ years of experience across technical program management, government contracting, proposal development, or business development, preferably in R&D, defense, energy, or advanced hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-party programs across technical, operational, financial, and administrative stakeholders.
- Strong technical fluency and ability to translate engineering work into proposals, program plans, milestones, and risks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with engineers, executives, government customers, and partners.
- Proficiency with Asana, and other project management tools
- Working knowledge of federal award requirements, including allowability, labor charging, indirect rates, cost share, and in-kind reporting.
- Familiarity with the defense and federal funding landscape
- Technical degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or a related field.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Experience with technology development programs involving prototyping, testing, validation, manufacturing scale-up, or technology transition.
- Experience managing defense contracts and programs, including CDRLs, design reviews, and DoD reporting structures.
- Existing relationships with DoD PAE and other program offices, DIU, or/and defense primes.
- Familiarity with battery materials, electrochemistry, cell design, energy storage.
- US military veteran, especially with experience in acquisition, program management, or defense contracting.
- Active US security clearance is a plusPMP, DAU, APMP, or equivalent training.
