Credit and Collections Representative

Job Description Job DescriptionA major and well-established heating, oil, and energy company is seeking a motivated Credit and Collections Representative to join its team. This role involves managing customer accounts, handling collections, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records while providing professional communication to customers. Responsibilities Manage customer accounts and outstanding balances Make collection calls and follow up on past-due accounts Process payments and resolve billing discrepancies Establish payment arrangements when appropriate Maintain accurate account records and collection notes Communicate professionally with customers regarding account issues Prepare and maintain basic AR/collections reports Required Qualifications 2+ years of credit, collections, accounts receivable, or billing experience Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed Fully in-office position - Monday through Friday Preferred Qualifications 4+ years in credit and collections Associate degree in Business or related field
