About the role

The dean will develop and articulate a strategic vision for a large, multidisciplinary college spanning fine and performing arts, humanities, and social sciences. Reporting to the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, the dean serves as the chief academic officer for the college and is responsible for strategic, programmatic, and financial operations. The role will support the institution's central mission to promote and achieve academic excellence while helping advance efforts to be an inclusive and impactful research university. The dean will lead the college in sustaining a highly effective work environment and fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration within the college and across other schools and colleges. The position will also champion the value of a liberal arts education and will support and sustain the college's academic and operational goals.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
