About the role

STEM.org Educational Research is seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to support research initiatives focused on advancing STEM education, evaluating learning outcomes, and strengthening evidence-based educational practices. This role is ideal for a research professional with experience in educational research, program evaluation, curriculum analysis, data interpretation, and the development of actionable insights that support schools, educators, organizations, and learners. The Senior Researcher will contribute to research design, data collection, qualitative and quantitative analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations related to STEM learning experiences and educational impact. Key areas of focus may include STEM program evaluation, instructional effectiveness, curriculum review, learner engagement, educational accessibility, research-based recommendations, and the communication of findings to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and passionate about improving STEM education through rigorous research and practical application.

Qualifications: Advanced research skills, including study design, methodology development, and quantitative/qualitative data analysis. Expertise in STEM education, curriculum, and assessment, with the ability to evaluate programs and learning outcomes. Strong academic writing, editing, and synthesis skills for reports, publications, and evidence-based recommendations. Experience with stakeholder engagement and collaboration across educators, administrators, nonprofits, and industry partners. Proficiency with research tools and software (e.g., statistical packages, survey platforms, data visualization tools).Master’s degree or Ph. D. in Education, STEM discipline, Educational Research, or related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications, policy briefs, or large-scale research projects is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with high accuracy and integrity.
