About the role
This position is onsite, full-time (Monday - Friday) in Washington, DC - parking costs are not covered.This position is a 5 month contract.Scope:The candidate will provide office support for the large amount of phone calls and paperwork.The various paperwork to be reviewed includes student loan forms, FEHB and FEGLI forms, New Hire and prior service appointments, Salary Adjustments, and Terminations that will be validated.The candidate will also provide research and validation of paperwork along with providing assistance to our permanent staff.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, intake and reviewing daily paperwork through Image Quest electronic records system to move through the workflow process for entry into Lawson related to the regular and off-cycle payroll processing.The position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Office management in a profession setting. Involving answering phones, using Outlook for email and calendar reminders, using Word to create documents communicating issues/concerns. Handling various customer service duties including reviewing, researching, and resolving questions from employees.Minimum 3 years’ experience processing work within an office or other organization, in order to sustain and improve efficiency and productivity.Must have experience using Outlook, Excel, Word and be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Experience working within a team environment.Educational Requirements: HS Diploma (College Degree preferred)Candidate Requirements Minimum one year’s experience working in a payroll processing; preferably payroll system experience.Must possess a minimum of 2 years’ working experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Competencies: Office experience needed with some data entry experience in a high volume, customer service environment.Detailed-oriented person with strong organizational skills and a working knowledge of computersPleasant customer service skills and attitude.Ability to multi-task while working in a complex, fast paced, confidential team environment, and recognize their responsibilities are critical.The candidate should be self-motivated with a willingness to learn and be independent.
