Role Description:
The world's #1 manufacturer of pet reptile products worldwide, is seeking a talented full-time Print and Package Designer to work in our graphic design department. We have a dedicated art department that includes graphic designer, web designer, new media and video production. All our artwork and most of our photography is developed in house. We design our own print and online ads, catalogs, tradeshow booths, POP material, marketing material and all product packaging. The position requires expertise and experience with Adobe Creative Suite. The position demands a creative and flexible mind and a strong work ethic. Candidates will be collaborating with other artists and designers and should expect to be working for various departments and team leaders as projects become available. We are in San Luis Obispo, CA and offer a casual working environment. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm. We offer a benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance as well as 401K and paid holidays and vacation. This creative position is for a creative person. Artificial intelligence prompted or generative materials will not be accepted. This is an in-person, on-site position. We do not offer remote work, or work-from-schedules for this role. Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, graphic communication, industrial design or a related field. Background in Advertising and Design Expertise using Mac Studio Computers on the latest OS, software programs from Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Basic knowledge of MS Office. A genuine love for pets and their well-being. Interest and general knowledge of the importance of marketing and changing trends. Photography skills, with the ability to take high-quality photos for use in marketing material. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to learn or apply skills to new programs, applications, and systems if needed. Friendly, optimistic, and capable of working and collaborating with others.
