Steiner Studios is a state-of-the-art film and television production facility located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. As one of the largest studios east of Los Angeles, it spans 60 acres and will encompass over 1.6 million square feet upon full buildout.
Description:
Steiner Studios seeks a Mailroom Assistant to work in our onsite mailroom handling all incoming and outgoing mail and packages on the Lot. This includes sorting and distributing mail, maintaining records, and providing customer service to ensure efficient mailroom operations.
Responsibilities:
Sorting and Distribution: Receive and sort incoming mail and packages; deliver to Steiner Management and notify production clients and tenants of their deliveries. Record Keeping: Maintain records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages and track shipments via mailroom software. Mailroom Management: Maintain a clean and organized mailroom and operate mail processing devices. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to Steiner employees, clients and vendors, answering questions, and assisting with mail-related inquiries. Outgoing USPS Mail Preparation: Coordinate and schedule daily USPS pickups to ensure timely mail and package dispatch. Essential Skills Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude; a proactive team player ready to contribute. Attention to detail: Accurately sorting and distributing mail and maintaining records. Organizational skills: Maintaining a clean and organized mailroom and keeping records. Communication skills: Interacting with clients, phone etiquette, answering questions, and assisting Steiner Studios employees, vendors, and clients. Time management: Ensuring efficient processing of mail and packages within daily deadlines. Physical Ability: Lifting and moving moderate to heavy mail and packages, fit to handle and lift 50 pounds without assistance. Conditions Hours are from 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. Compensation
