About the role
Marketing Specialist We're looking for a Marketing Specialist to lead newsletter production, create compelling digital content, and support broader communications projects in partnership with internal stakeholders. This role suits someone with sharp writing and editing abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a track record of delivering polished marketing materials in a fast-moving setting. Key responsibilities include:Partner with leadership and internal subject matter experts to develop presentation scripts and key talking points Manage the end-to-end newsletter process, from gathering content to writing, editing, and final publication Draft and edit 1-2 news pieces each week, incorporating relevant research summaries Research member activity for potential article features and route findings to appropriate section leads Edit and refine contributions from staff and members to ensure consistency with AP style and brand voice Perform online research to strengthen the accuracy and credibility of published content Provide additional content support across other communications projects as needed Qualifications include:4+ years of experience in marketing or communications, with a strong emphasis on content creation such as newsletters Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard marketing tools Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong eye for detail Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Positive, team-oriented mindset with strong prioritization skills Bachelor's degree preferred, relevant experience can compensate This is a contract role lasting approximately 3-5 months, based in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule requiring four days on site per week.
