About the role
- Dismantle heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow safety rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed
- Use rigging equipment and lifting gear to safely remove and transport components
- Use pin presses, hammers and jacks to remove attachments and frames from machinery
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
- Communicate with management on job completion and assignments
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Prior experience in equipment service and maintenance is strongly preferred
- Enrollment in or completion of a trade or vocational school considered an asset
- Must own hand and power tools needed to complete machine dismantling tasks
- Strong mechanical ability
- Ability to follow factory processes for dismantling equipment
- Strong mechanical ability
- A willingness to complete required training
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
