About the role
Overview
In this role you will help build a scalable web application for insurance professionals, bridging frontend UX with robust backend APIs. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver a brand-aligned, accessible experience and reusable UI components. You’ll shape the platform from user interaction through data processing, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability. This is an opportunity to influence how quote data is uploaded, processed, and surfaced to users, at scale.

Responsibilities Develop responsive, accessible UIs with React, Type Script, and Tailwind CSS, including a multi-step upload workflow with drag-and-drop, validation, progress tracking, and error handling Build and maintain a shared, branded component library aligned with design tokens Integrate frontend with GraphQL APIs for data retrieval and mutations Display job status and processed results with filtering, sorting, and export features Design and implement GraphQL schemas and resolvers for authentication, uploads, job tracking, and results retrieval Integrate with backend processing services via webhooks or polling; implement retries and idempotency Validate and sanitize uploaded files; manage storage and lifecycle Emit domain events and telemetry for observability Implement secure authentication/authorization (OAuth/JWT, RBAC) and secure file handling Develop automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)Contribute to CI/CD, code quality, linting/formatting Support observability through logging and metrics Produce documentation for system setup, operations, and components Ensure accessibility (WCAG AA) and performance requirements
Key requirements 5-6 years of experience Proven experience with React and Type Script, including component composition and state management (e.g., React Query)Proficiency with Tailwind CSS and design systems, including reusable branded UI components Experience developing backend services using Java (Spring) and GraphQL APIsHands-on experience with Jest and Playwright for testing Familiarity with Git/Git Hub workflows and CI/CD practices Excellent documentation and communication skills Ability to independently plan work, manage milestones, and deliver resultsexcellent communication and documentationability to work independentlycollaboration with cross-functional teams React Type Script Tailwind CSS
