About the role
Alldus is partnering with a fast-growing onsite power generation company to find a Plant Manager for a new large-scale natural gas facility in West Texas. The site is a several hundred MW reciprocating engine power plant serving critical, high-demand infrastructure. You will lead the facility end to end, with a total site headcount of more than 90 people, including direct reports in Operations, Maintenance, and Plant Administration. What you'll do:
Take full P&L and operational accountability for plant safety, reliability, availability, and performance Lead and develop the Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Plant Administrator, and through them a workforce of 90+Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and permit requirements Own maintenance strategy, outage planning, and long-term asset health Set and manage budgets, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives Serve as the senior site leader and key point of contact for customers, utility partners, and corporate leadership
What we're looking for:
Proven leadership experience at a power generation facility, such as combined cycle, simple cycle, coal, or reciprocating engine plants Experience managing managers and leading large, multi-disciplinary teams Strong technical competency in plant operations and maintenance, with the credibility to engage deeply on engineering issues Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) strongly preferred; equivalent technical background considered Solid understanding of safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory frameworks for generation assetsA hands-on leader who balances people development with operational rigorA one-time relocation sign on bonus is available for candidates outside of the metropolitan area.
