Job Title: Sr. Packaging Engineer
Location: North Haven, CT
Job Description:
Support and improve packaging operations within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Lead packaging process development, optimization, and continuous improvement activities.
Support packaging equipment qualification and validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ.Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
Perform root cause investigations and develop effective CAPA solutions.
Maintain technical documentation, validation protocols, reports, and engineering records.
Ensure packaging processes comply with FDA and quality system requirements.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
Provide project leadership and technical communication across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.7+ years of Packaging Engineering experience.
Experience in Medical Device, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of packaging validation, IQ/OQ/PQ, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA.Knowledge of FDA and regulatory requirements.
Experience with packaging equipment qualification and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving, technical communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience preferred.
