Vice President of Sales
Compensation: $280,000–$350,000 expected OTE + equity. Final compensation structure will depend on experience, location, and the overall package. Scout is conducting a confidential search for a growing cybersecurity company seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead its U.S. commercial organization. Our client serves enterprise customers across industrial and critical-infrastructure markets and has an established U.S. commercial foundation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will own U.S. sales execution while remaining personally involved in developing and closing strategic enterprise business. This is an opportunity for an established sales leader or an accomplished Director/RVP ready to take broader ownership of a U.S. commercial organization.
What You'll Do: Own U.S. sales execution, pipeline, forecasting, and revenue performance. Personally originate, develop, and close strategic enterprise opportunities. Lead and build the U.S. sales team as the business grows. Establish disciplined account planning, qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales processes. Develop relationships across major industrial and critical-infrastructure organizations. Navigate complex sales involving cybersecurity, IT, OT, engineering, operational, and executive stakeholders. Advance opportunities through technical evaluation and POC into production deployments and broader enterprise programs. Partner directly with the CEO on strategic accounts and U.S. go-to-market execution.
What We're Looking For: Proven enterprise sales experience in cybersecurity or complex technology, ideally selling into industrial, manufacturing, or critical-infrastructure environments. Demonstrated success personally developing and closing significant enterprise business, with individual sales production of approximately $1.5M–$2M ARR.Established relationships within major U.S. industrial enterprises or critical-infrastructure organizations. Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical evaluations or POCs. Experience leading or mentoring salespeople while remaining directly involved with customers and strategic deals. Strong new-business development, pipeline creation, forecasting, and commercial negotiation capabilities. Direct OT/ICS cybersecurity experience is highly attractive but not required. Candidates from adjacent cybersecurity organizations selling into industrial and manufacturing environments may also be strong fits.
Location: U.S.-based, with Midwest and East Coast preferred. Travel as required for customer and business needs.
