Job Description:
Job Description Iron Mechanical is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder-Plumber to join our growing team. This role is a key part of our field operations, supporting major construction projects across Northern California. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of weld preparation, execution, and finishing tasks performed in our Pre-Fabrication Shop and in the field, delivering high-quality pipe systems in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform various types of pipe welding on stainless steel and carbon pipe.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written specifications.
Prepare materials, set up equipment, and execute MIG and Stick welds with precision.
Operate torches and other tools safely and skillfully.
Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance.
Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to keep jobs on schedule.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of industrial pipe welding experience (commercial construction preferred).Proven ability with stainless steel and carbon pipe welding.
Working knowledge of MIG and Stick welding techniques.
Familiarity with torch operation and cutting processes.
Relevant certifications required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
