Our client, in Farwell, MI is seeking a Shipping Associate to join their team. As a Shipping Associate, you will be part of the Operations/Logistics department supporting the shipping and receiving workflow. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to stay organized while working with shipping documentation and inventory records.
Job Title: Shipping Associate
Location: Farwell, MI
Pay Range: $16.50
Shift: 1st shift - 8 am to 4 pm overtime is scheduled prior to start time and can include Saturdays What's the Job? Directly support shipping, receiving, and the accounting of all produced or ordered materials to and from the client site. Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including preparing items for shipment using work orders and schedules from the team leader. Maintain the quality of materials handled and ensure correct quantity, description, and size of all produced goods or equipment before shipment. Properly package items for safe and secure transportation, and complete Shipper/Packing list documentation with required details (quantity, description, size, job number, date, and other relevant information). Receive, examine, accept or reject, sign for, and transport materials to proper storage; compare purchase orders with packing slips and ensure exact quantities and correctness of received materials. What's Needed? High School Diploma or GED required. Forklift experience required. At least 1 year in an Industrial Shipping position preferred. Ability to determine shipment methods and affix shipping labels accurately on packed cartons. Comfort working with inventory control by entering incoming and outgoing information into MRP within a reasonable time. What's in it for me?
