Ortho TechTLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Orthopedic Technician (Ortho Tech) to support orthopedic physicians and clinical staff in providing care to patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. The Ortho Tech will assist in casting, splinting, brace fitting, and patient education, ensuring quality care and a positive patient experience.
Job Responsibilities: Assist orthopedic providers with patient care, including applying and removing casts, splints, and braces. Measure and fit orthopedic devices and ensure proper alignment and comfort. Educate patients and families on the care and maintenance of orthopedic devices. Prepare exam rooms, materials, and equipment for orthopedic procedures. Assist with traction setups and other immobilization techniques as directed by providers. Maintain and clean orthopedic tools, casting materials, and work areas. Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).Support physicians and nurses during minor orthopedic procedures as needed. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Orthopedic Technician program preferred. Certified Orthopedic Technologist (OTC) certification preferred. Previous experience in orthopedic care or clinical support setting required. Knowledge of anatomy, orthopedic terminology, and casting/splinting procedures. Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
