About the role

POSITION OVERVIEW: We are recruiting for an experienced CAD/BIM Detailer to join a well-established electrical contractor specializing in commercial electrical construction in the Tampa, Florida market. This position will support project and field teams by developing accurate electrical drawings, BIM models, coordinated layouts, and installation details for commercial construction projects. Previous experience with Trimble technology is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop detailed electrical drawings and BIM models for commercial construction projects. Create coordinated layouts for conduit, cable tray, equipment, lighting, and other electrical systems. Utilize Trimble technology to support electrical detailing, layout, coordination, and field installation. Review contract drawings and specifications to develop accurate, constructible installation drawings. Coordinate electrical systems with other trades to identify and resolve clashes prior to installation. Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams throughout the project.
QUALIFICATIONS: Previous CAD/BIM detailing experience with an electrical contractor strongly preferred. Experience supporting commercial electrical construction projects. Previous experience with Trimble software/technology required. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; Navisworks experience is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, and field installation practices. Strong communication and coordination skills.
