Position Overview:
Washington Financial Bank is seeking a customer-focused, sales-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Retail Banking team. This role is ideal for an experienced banking professional who enjoys building relationships, helping customers achieve their financial goals, and contributing to the success of a community-focused financial institution. As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a trusted resource for customers by providing exceptional service, opening new accounts, promoting bank products and services, and identifying opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Open and service a variety of consumer deposit accounts. Provide information and guidance regarding bank products and services. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions. Cross-sell bank products and services to new and existing customers. Build and maintain strong customer relationships within the community. Assist customers with account inquiries, service requests, and problem resolution. Complete required documentation and perform account-related transactions accurately. Collaborate with branch management and team members to achieve sales and service goals. Maintain knowledge of all bank products, policies, and procedures. Participate in community activities and represent the bank professionally. Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, procedures, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements. Required Qualifications/Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional banking education or training preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of related banking and/or sales experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to identify customer needs. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
