- The Histology Supervisor performs and oversees histology operations including embedding, microtomy, staining, and workflow coordination
- Ensures high-quality slide production, adherence to regulatory standards, and supports laboratory efficiency and team performance
- Provides leadership, training, and operational oversight within the histology section while maintaining hands-on technical competency
- High school diploma or GEDHTL(ASCP) or HT (ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology 5+ years of histology experience
- Demonstrated solid attention to detail and organizational skillsDemonstrated solid manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-volume environment
- Demonstrated solid leadership, communication, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to work in high-volume environment and maintain turnaround times
- Completion of formal histology training program or equivalent on-the-job trainingQIHC (ASCP)
- Supervisory experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology and LIS systems (e.g., Epic Beaker)
