About the role
- Painter Responsibilities
- Inspect parts and evaluate required painting details prior to application
- Select and prepare the correct paint based on shop paperwork, drawings, and technical specifications
- Mix paints according to supplied instructions and Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and performing minor sanding as required
- Apply paint to various surfaces and metals using spray guns or other approved paint methods
- Ensure painted parts meet quality and finish standards
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within specified production timelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production goals
- Masker / General Labor Responsibilities
- Mask and shield surfaces of parts that do not require painting or processing
- Process parts according to shop work orders, drawings, and applicable specifications
- Inspect incoming parts for damage, scratches, or defects and report issues as needed
- Follow supervisor instructions and comply with assigned tasks and priorities
- Accurately complete work orders and all required documentation
- Safely handle and manage hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in painting, masking, or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of spray painting equipment and surface preparation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry materials as required
- Ability to work in a production or manufacturing environment
