J33 Special Operations Joint Fires Targeting Analyst (Journeyman)

Job Purpose / SummaryServe as the senior joint fires specialist for SOCCENT, specializing in the development, planning, prioritization, and execution of full-spectrum special operations targeting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, prioritize, and execute targeting per Joint Publication 3-60 and the Joint Fires Targeting Handbook.
Coordinate and synchronize the targeting process with all CENTCOM components and interagency partners across theater and operational targeting.
Enable strategic and operational joint fires and targeting execution through subordinate commands by coordinating required approval authorities with SOCCENT/CFSOCC.
Apply the Joint Targeting Cycle (JTC) and joint planning, execution, and assessment concepts; train and educate command staff on the theater strategic targeting process, including CJCS collateral damage estimation and sensitive target approval processes.
Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations; maintain electronic mission-continuity resources.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation and experience: BA/BS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis; Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Level I or Service equivalent; at least 3 years of strategic and operational planning and analysis; at least 3 years of experience in one or more of CENTCOM AOR, MISO, MILDEC, CWMD, ORSA, CYBER, AT/FP, SNA, Special Programs, or Interagency experience; OR an equivalent combination of at least 5 years of SOF operational experience and education.
Expert knowledge of joint fires and targeting doctrine, policies, and procedures.
May perform CONUS/OCONUS travel as required.
