About the role
Oak Valley Hospital District is currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for our Inpatient or Outpatient Rehabilitation Services departments in Oakdale. The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides designated physical therapy related services as outlined in the patient’s plan of care and within the scope of licensure and/or training. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill (for the inpatient role) or outpatients (for the outpatient role) through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Completed Physical Therapy education/training at an approved school and/or approved work experience High school graduate or equivalent required Current California Physical Therapy Assistant certificate or approval as Physical Therapist Assistant. Current BLS certification One to two years experience as a licensed PTA or comparable training/experience for unlicensed PTA
