Job Description: Wire Harness Technician
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Wire Harness Technician to support the assembly and integration of complex electrical harnesses and cable assemblies for advanced electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and terminating wire harnesses, working with MIL-SPEC connectors and cables, and applying EMI shielding and grounding techniques. This position is well-suited for individuals with aerospace, defense, military, telecommunications, or other high-reliability manufacturing experience.
Location: Atlanta, GA 30341
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible)
Duration: 1-2 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities: Build, assemble, route, and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Install and terminate MIL-SPEC connectors, backshells, and associated hardware. Assemble and route multi-bundle wire harnesses while maintaining proper wire management and labeling. Apply EMI shielding, grounding, and bonding techniques to ensure electrical system integrity. Perform wire stripping, crimping, soldering, splicing, and connector assembly. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings. Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot and repair wiring and harness assemblies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications: Experience assembling wire harnesses, cable assemblies, or electromechanical systems. Hands-on experience with MIL-SPEC connectors and cabling. Experience working with multi-bundle harnesses. Knowledge of EMI shielding, grounding, and bonding techniques. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings. Proficiency using crimping, soldering, and wire termination tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Aerospace, defense, military, telecommunications, or high-reliability manufacturing experience. IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent wiring and harness assembly training.
