Carbon - Machine Operator Join a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems within the Carbon Division. This role involves overseeing automated processes, with a focus on CNC setup and machine operation. Be part of a team dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and supporting more than 23,000 aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities: Operate and oversee CNC machines, ensuring smooth and efficient production. Conduct quality inspections and ensure products meet blueprint specifications. Perform data entry tasks related to machine operations. Utilize various gauges, micrometers, and calipers for accurate measurements. Match parts to prints to ensure precision and accuracy in production. Essential Skills 6 months to 1 year of experience in machine operation or production/manufacturing. Experience in matching parts to prints. Familiarity with different types of gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Competency in using computers for data entry. Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a 12-hour rotating shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in setting up CNC machines. Knowledge of machine controls and tools. Familiarity with robotic controls. Why Work Here? Work Environment: Work in a somewhat dirty environment with some climate-controlled areas. The facility is newer with many upgrades, ensuring a comfortable working environment. Please note, this is a tobacco-free facility, and employees will work 12-hour rotating shifts every 6-8 weeks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Walton, KY.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.10 - $21.10/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
