About the role

This administrative position is responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementationand management of the Town's human resources and personnel functions. leadership and direction in the administration of recruitment and talent acquisition, employee andlabor relations, benefits administration, training and development, personnel policies and procedures, workers' compensation and compliance with applicable local, Federal and State employment laws Supervision is exercised over professional, technicaland clerical staff. The candidate should possess thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of human resourcesthorough knowledge of employee and labor relations principles andregulations including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act(procedures applicable to local government employment; administration, retirement systems and workers' compensation programs; recruitment, talent acquisition, employee development and workforce planning principles; knowledge of administrative principles and practices including budgeting, organizationalmanagement and supervision; contract administration; and administer personnel policies and programs; ability to analyze organizational structures, staffing The work is performed under the general supervision of the Town Supervisor or his/her designee. A Bachelor's degree or higher and six (6) years of progressively responsible* paidmanagement or executive level work experience in human resources, personnelauthority, accountability, or supervisory/administrative duties.
