About the role
Distribution Sales Manager The Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for further developing business and channel opportunities in the BAND-IT North America Midwest Sales Region. The role supports key regional distribution accounts, contributes to the development of strategic and tactical plans to profitably grow sales of BAND-IT products, and determines the most effective approach to growing the existing portfolio. The position is home‑based and must be located in the Midwest region of the USA (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio). The focus is expanding sales to BAND-IT’s distribution markets and their end‑user customers. The role coordinates and interfaces with all functions and departments of BAND-IT HQ in Denver, Colorado.
Duties and Responsibilities Maintain, support, and grow sales of regional distribution accounts.
Conduct regular and extensive contact and follow‑up with existing distribution partners and target potential partners for additional regional growth.
Execute sales calls with end‑user partners to capture customer VOC and NPD opportunities for future growth.
Develop and execute a Time & Territory Plan to contact all distributor and representative locations within the assigned geography.
Maintain an active sales growth funnel within CRM, including defined projects that contribute to the overall sales pipeline.
Prepare and present presentations about BAND-IT capabilities and solutions to customers and prospective customers.
Maintain an understanding of BAND-IT’s technical, service, support, and product capabilities and communicate these to customers.
Identify, document, and follow up sales leads and new customer opportunities.
Participate in communicating and resolving customer complaints and product returns within the assigned geography.
Use a value‑selling approach and available tools to present BAND-IT’s value versus competitive or alternative fastening solutions.
Recommend, prepare, and secure approval for pricing and quotations when necessary.
Attend approved customer events such as supplier shows, field sales meetings, conventions, and events within the geography.
Travel up to 50% of the time.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Self‑starter with strong sales drive, high accountability, detail orientation, and consistent follow‑through.
Professional image and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to provide customized solutions based on monetized total value to the customer.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects, tasks, and details simultaneously.
Experience working remotely in alignment with company guidelines, policies, and processes.
Ability to handle high‑stress situations calmly and professionally.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and enterprise CRM systems.
Proficient in value‑selling concepts and tools.
Experience building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.
Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets with a solution‑provider, customer‑focused approach.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience successfully selling to industrial distributors and direct sales of industrial products. Relevant experience establishing relationships with OEMs, contractors, industrial partners, municipal partners, or engineering consultants.

Total Rewards Compensation range: $109,800.00 – $164,600.00, depending on experience. Position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
