To learn more about the “Montefiore Difference” – who we are at Montefiore and all that we have to offer our associates, please click .This vacancy will be posted on internal Career Website for 10 work days.Job Summary:As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you will provide general and regional anesthesia services to patients under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist. The CRNA will also provide preoperative anesthesia services in the Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Center in collaboration with the attending anesthesiologist.Job Responsibilities:* Prepare the anesthesia cart and necessary supplies.* Prepare and check the anesthesia machine prior to procedures.* Requisition, prepare, and label perioperative medications.* Conduct preoperative patient evaluations.* Obtain appropriate intravenous access.* Apply all required patient monitoring equipment.* Document all anesthesia department records in a timely and legible manner.* Document all perioperative pharmacological interventions.* Document all perioperative non-pharmacological interventions and events on the anesthesia record.* Provide patient report to PACU nursing staff following procedures.* Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room and anesthesia areas.* Notify anesthesia technicians of equipment issues or supply needs.* Maintain accurate counts of all controlled substances used.Job Requirements:* Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).* Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).* Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationsBenefits Package:CRNA Associates enjoy access to career training and advancement opportunities, and are rewarded with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:* NYSNA Union Benefits* Experience differential (additional compensation for years of experience as a RN and CRNA)* Education differential (additional compensation for Masters or Doctorate degree)* Paid time off including vacation days, sick days and holidays* Medical, dental & vision insurance; low to zero cost prescription benefits* Maternity and Paternity Leave* Retirement benefits including Hospital sponsored NYSNA Pension at zero cost to CRNA.Optional 403b plan through Fidelity.* Flexible spending accounts* Life insurance* Disability benefits* 100% Tuition Reimbursement* A highly desirable schedule including no weekends, no holidays, no call and no nights.* Discounted employee parking* Team Member purchase discounts* Opportunity to teach and mentor CRNAsMontefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
